The Series

The Free Markets Series is a television program for American and Canadian audiences produced by The World Show in partnership with the MEI and broadcast on PBS affiliates. The episodes are 30 minutes in length and feature some of the most dynamic and influential free-market thinkers and activists.

The Free Markets Series is an exceptional opportunity for viewers to be exposed to free-market ideas for the first time, or to deepen their knowledge of those ideas, and also to get to know some of the key individuals involved in the movement. Guests include, among others, Steve Forbes, John Allison, Charles Murray, and a featured re-run of a 1994 interview with Milton Friedman to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth.

The host is TV personality Bob Scully, named the 2012 Person of the Year by American Public Television. Robert G. ("Bob") Scully is a Canadian broadcaster, producer, and journalist who has carried out interviews in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
